Like any other asset class, it may be useful to plot the historic performance of specific artists or schools of art. We research and graph the marketplace for those areas of interest to illustrate growth or decline for specific things. As is with the equities field, past performance is no guarantee of future performance, but 20/20 hindsight may aid the collector in deciding when to buy and sell.
